The Merino Wool base layer collection is part of the L1 layering system, designed to be worn as a next-to-skin base layer.

We choose this as our Level 1 next to the skin layer because nothing else compares and this next to skin garment is the foundation of your whole clothing system. If this part fails your whole system fails. We use 100% certified Merino wool sourced from sustainable farmers. Merino is: warm when wet, fire retardant, anti-microbial, stretchy and ultra-soft.
The MTHD Merino Short Sleeve base layer is form-fitting with a drop tail and underarm gussets to keep you moving and comfortable on your mission. Designed to be versatile and comfortable using flatlock seams, and wrap shoulder panels to help reduce bulk and chafing.
