215 Gear began when an operator in the 90s showed up to their unit and was handed Vietnam era gear. Immediate modifying and tweaking began to that kit, looking for better ways to carry and use the gear needed for the mission prior to the invention of MOLLE and modular carry options. Learning the skills needed for industrial sewing machines fueled an obsession. That obsession turned into new ideas and new dreams of making gear that was newer, better and lasted for teammates and eventually spread across the entire country.

Today, 215 Gear is a pioneer in its field and a full line manufacturer of American-made products. Fifty percent of the products made are custom produced for a singular military unit needing modern solutions to modern problems.
